The Optimization calculation is an example where MBS programs (MACRO functions) are creating and modyfying the Generic Model. Please refer to section Generic Models in this tutorial.
The Optimization Parameters will be changed by MACRO functions. MACRO functions will also calculate the Gradient and do the One-Dimensional search.
All FLOAT parameters of the top level PARTs can be Optimization Parameters
The Objective Function value should be calculated in separate analysis module (good practice). The Objective Function value shall be registered in a PART with one parameter that is a FLOAT.
Limits shall be defined by a module with parameters as defined in the figure below. Limits are optional.
